Boiler Design

The Reverse Flame Series are 3-pass design. The first and second passes occur within the combustion chamber and the third pass through smoke tubes. All sizes of Boiler are of wet-back construction and comply with the A.G.T.C. rules and relevant British Standards. The boilers, which are of welded construction throughout, are designed to BS 2790 and are stress relieved as required for Class 1 pressure vessels.

Internal access is through an elliptical manhole at the top of the boiler and three mud doors are also provided.

Access to the combustion chamber and smoke tubes is by a hinged gas tight door at the front, which is lined with a heat-resisting, insulating refractory.

Access through bolted doors is also available at the rear of the boiler. Each boiler shell is insulated to the relevant British Standard.

Maintenance

The boiler tubes and furnace should be cleaned as required depending on the type of fuel used and the frequency of operation but in no circumstances should it be cleaned less than once per annum. We supply a comprehensive book with all boilers.

Water Treatment

Generally speaking, it is advisable for suitable water treatment to be carried out on all steam boilers where any quantity of make-up water is required at regular intervals. The correct treatment will be advised by the company who will be supplying the water equipment.

Gas Reversal Chamber Series and Low Pressure Series. Details on request.
